We are providing a different way by redistributing the code without any unneeded extras.
What is GPL?
GPL is the abbreviated version of “General Public License.” WordPress is open-source software released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
It was created by forking another GPL-licensed project; almost all the top plugin, theme, add-on, and extension developers follow GPL.
At WP TOOL MART, we provide files that are fully licensed under the GNU GPL, just like WordPress itself.
Are these genuine products?
Yes, 100%. We have active subscriptions to all the products featured on our website.
We download them direct from their authors and then redistribute to you.
The downloads are usually not altered in any way as they work fine out the box. But sometimes we have to add some code to make the script work. These alterations are totally safe and do not contain any malicious code.
Are you the developer of these files?
No, WP TOOL MART is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, nor is in any way related to third-party developers, including WordPress, WooCommerce, WooThemes, Elegant Themes, RocketGenius Inc., GravityForms, iThemes, OnTheGoSystems, AppThemes, etc.
How can you offer the products at such low prices?
All WordPress items such as plugins and themes are licensed under the General Public Licence (GPL).
This means that once we have purchased the item we are free to redistribute it if we choose to do so.
Your membership to (or purchase from) our site goes towards maintaining and buying the subscriptions to 3rd party theme and plugin developers. This form of crowdfunding helps keep prices low and we can then pass this benefit on to you.
Do you provide updates to the products?
Yes. As soon as we are notified about an update, we download it from the developer and update it on our site. If you buy a single product, you have access to updates for 14 days, however if you buy one of our membership plans, you have access to updates until your membership expires.
How many sites can I use the plugin or theme on?
As many as you like. The plugins and themes are GPL licensed so you can use them as often as you like on as many sites as you like.
An item I downloaded is asking for a registration code. What should I do?
You can just ignore it. Developers include these so that the plugin or theme can update automatically or so that you can register for support. The item itself will work perfectly fine without anything being entered in the box. We would recommend updating your theme/plugins manually when updates become available on our site.
How can I hide license reminder notices?
Consider hiding the license activation reminders through a plugin like “Disable admin notices.“ This plugin is free and very popular in the WordPress community. Make sure to check the official documentation for more information!
